Praying Grandmother (For those of us who didn’t have one)
For all of you who didn’t have a Praying Grandmother, know that the Apostle Paul prayed for you. Ephesians 1:17
I always hear people giving testimonies in victory commenting“But, I had a praying grandmother!” symbolizing how their grandmother stood in proxy for them praying and covering—interceding for them. As a result, they were able to dodge certain pains in life, certain turmoil, immature death and received favor.
I would always get emotional. I probably had the best grandmother in the world, very loving and she would give her last dime if the need required. However, she wasn’t a praying grandmother. I always felt like I missed out in various areas. The Lord told me in my distress once that even though your grandmother didn’t cover you in prayer, the Apostle Paul did! I was overjoyed and extremely grateful! Peace secured within my entire being. I want to encourage you, if you didn’t grow up in church or if you didn’t have Praying parents, you aren’t forgotten. God sent someone to pray for you and not only pray for you, but to pray for wisdom. Wisdom is the best gift one could ever receive.
I also learned how to pray for myself. I can’t thank God enough for how much wisdom I’ve received. I can’t thank God enough for the favor he has blessed me with. It is beyond my wildest dreams.I encourage you to pray for yourself! Don’t entrust that responsibility upon no one. It is your job to pray over every aspect of your life.
Disclaimer… the grandmother in this photo is actually a praying grandmother. This photo was used only as a caption of the blog post. She’s a prayer powerhouse who happens to be our Nanny. We are blessed to have her as part of our life in this season.
